DURATION
  • All Full-time Master’s degree programmes last for a minimum period of four semesters and a maximum period of six semesters.
  • All Full-time Doctoral Programmes last for a minimum period of six semesters and a maximum period of ten semesters.
  • PGD in Education last for a minimum of two semesters and a maximum of four semesters for all full time students.
  • PGD in Engineering last for a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of six semesters for all full time students.
  • PGD in Economics last for a minimum of two semesters and a maximum of four semesters for all full time students.

ELIGIBILITY
  1. To qualify for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme, applicants should be graduates of the University of Uyo or any other University recognized by the Senate of the University of Uyo, or persons who hold qualifications adjudged by the Senate of the University of Uyo to be equivalent to first degree or holders of recognized Higher National Diploma.
  2. To qualify for admission into a Master’s degree programme, applicants should be graduates with not less than Second Class Honours degrees in the Lower Division with, (a) CGPA of 2.75 on a five-point scale, (b) CGPA of 2.2 points on a four-points scale and (c) Second Class lower division (irrespective of CGPA) for the Master’s degree programme in Architecture and programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture. (d) Candidates for admission into M.Sc Medical Microbiology should be graduates of either of the following: (i) Microbiology with 2.75 CGPA (ii) Virology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Microbiology (PGDM) (iii) MBBCh/MBBS or its equivalent.
  3. Applicants for admission into Doctoral Degree programmes should be graduates of the University of Uyo or any other University recognised by the Senate of the University of Uyo, who possess Master’s degrees with dissertation and course work average, which should not be less than 60% (B).

NOTE:
  • Applicants will be required to have credit pass at ‘O’ Level in five relevant subjects including English Language obtained at not more than two sittings. Candidates with ‘O’ Level examination results before 2010 must possess their certificates and not statement of results or result slips.
  • Applicants for LLM & Ph. D in Law must in addition to the above have credit passes in ‘O’ Level English Literature.
  • All applicants will be subjected to Screening Tests as indicated. Please print out the date of screening test when you are completing your application form.
  • NYSC Discharge or Exemption certificates must be submitted by all applicants.
  • Applicants who obtained their degrees through Remedial Programmes must show evidence of having remedied the relevant subjects for their programmes externally i.e. through WASCE, NECO, NABTEB.
  • In addition to other qualifications, applicants are expected to meet the departmental requirements for their programmes.

Applicants must return their completed forms with a Thesis/Dissertation Proposal captured on the prescribed Postgraduate School proposal sheet. Such proposals should capture the following: Title, Aim/Objectives, Relevance of Study, Methodology, Expected Results among others.

Candidates should remember to request at the time of purchase of the forms that their relevant academic transcript and letters of reference be forwarded to: The Secretary, Postgraduate School, University of Uyo, P.M.B. 1017, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Children who were born on or after 1 August 2013 acquire Austrian nationality by descent, also if they were born out of wedlock and their father is an Austrian national if paternity has been acknowledged or established within eight weeks after the birth of the child.

  2. Acquiring Austrian citizenship by extension – In certain cases, Austrian citizenship may be extended to children, spouses, and civil partners.

  4. Obtaining Austrian citizenship by declaration (for persons who have their residence in Austria or abroad). Former Austrian citizens who lost their citizenship before 9 May 1945 due to racist and/or political persecution can reacquire their Austrian citizenship by declaration. They do not have to prove sufficient means of subsistence, German language skills, and knowledge of the democratic system and history of Austria and Vienna (Art 58c StbG).

9.) When asked to upload photo, upload a pass-port photograph with a white background.
10.) Recheck application information to avoid errors.

12.) You will receive an email and a sms that confirms your application was successful.
13.) Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your Email and Password to download your profile and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
14.) Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification.
15.) If National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN).
  • Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number.
  • Click "Create Account" and fill in the required  fields.
  • Login with Email and Password to complete the form.
  • After completion, schedule a date for photo and finger print capture.
  • Visit any of the 37 capture centres http://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=nin-registration-centres to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number.
  • You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office.
16.) Return to http://www.scholastica.ng/Schemes/cnlawards and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion.

  2. Evidence of one year Industrial Training
  3. Candidates are advised to read carefully the admission requirements for their programme of study before completing the application form.
  4. Candidates are advised to ensure that they personally and not by proxy fill-in appropriate information and pay special attention to the arrangement of names, examination grades, examination number, examination year and the exact Industrial Training (I.T) date (12 months from the date of ND certification for those with Lower Credit and 24 months from the date of ND certification for those with Pass Grade.
  5. Only courses duly accredited by the NBTE would be considered for the admission.
  6. Candidates are advised to keep safe their scratch card as any loss will necessitate purchase of another scratch card.

Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or NABTEB (O’ level Examinations).

Federal Polytechnic Nekede HND Admission Requirements
The entry requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes are as follows:
• Candidates are required to possess National Diploma in their chosen programme from recognized/accredited Polytechnic or Monotechnic.
• Candidates are also to possess at list five (5) relevant O’ level creadits including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sitting in WACE/NECO or NABTEB (O’ level Examinations).
• Candidates are required to have at least one year or two years post National Diploma Industrial Training Experience.
For details on the entry requirement peculiar to each of the Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes, candidates should visit the Polytechnic website www.fpno.edu.ng.
Please NOTE that candidates with Nov/Dec O’ level result of year of admission for ND part-time programmes are not qualified to apply.
